The Kalliopi Koufa Foundation on the Promotion of International Law and Human Rights organizes the 6th session of the Thessaloniki Summer Courses on International Law and Human Rights from 24 June to 3 July 2020 in Thessaloniki, Greece, on the topic of “Social Rights in International Law: From Theory to Practice”. The programme is open to advanced law students, researchers and practitioners.
The 2020 course will introduce the subject of social rights in international law and examine social rights as human rights, their protection regime at the universal and regional levels as well as crucial topics, such as their justiciability, their extraterritorial applicability, social rights protection for vulnerable groups, as well as social rights in the context of investment or armed conflict. The session consists of 10-day intensive, introductory and specialized, courses on the topic as well as lectures, roundtables and seminars involving academics, experts and practitioners.
