REFLECTIONS ON SOCIAL RIGHTS APPLICATION: INTERESTS AT STAKE AND CONTROVERSIES BEHIND THE SCENES

This essay, which looks back over a few years of supervision of social rights by international committees, in particular the European Committee of Social Rights, differs from most other studies in that it does not seek to comment on the Committee’s case law or discuss the supervisory system of the European Social Charter. Rather, the aim is to explore the reasons that still have an impact on the unsatisfactory application of the Treaties.
